Pinkham's Vegetable Compound Did For Her Read Her Letter i 3 1 i Three of Ithaca's popular amusement houses will begin operating tomorrow under an amalgamation perfected several davs ago, by which the Star, Strand and Crescent Theaters will be controlled by one management under the firm name of the Ithaca Theatre Company, Inc. Fred B.

Howe is prcBident of the new company and William A. Dillon and Charles L. Hamer vice presidents. Mr. Dillon also is manager of the Strand, while Mr.

Hamer is general manager of the Crescent and Star. All three are well known to the theater-going public of this and are popular. The Strand, under the new policy, beginning Monday will present five nets of standard vaudeville, a feature picture and a comedy, with an entire change of bill twice a week. The Crescent will pursue its present policy of a feature photoplay, and a comedy or travelogue and the Paramount Pictorial News and Paramount Magazine, with full program changes on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, while the Star will show pictures only, with a change of program daily. The new company is capitalized at $300,000.

The directors are Frank W. Grant. Patrick Driscoll. Dr. John B.

Howe, William A. Dillon, Dr. Fred B. Howe, Frederick E. Bates, Charles L.

Hamer, William M. Driscoll and Henry A. Carey. Mr. Carey also is secretary-treasurer.

The other officers, whose pictures appear above, are President Dr. Fred B. xiowe and Vice Presidents William A. Dillon and Charles L. Hamer.

Wednesday. "The Woman of Lies," by June Elvidge; Thursday, "Her Five-foot Highness." with dainty Edith Roberts; Friday, Henry B. Warner in "Haunting Shadows," from the story, "The House of a Thousand Candles;" Saturday. "The Window Opposite," with Leah Baird and James Morrison.

Starting Sunday, April IS, there will be "movies" at the Star, the feature announced for that day being "Me and Captain Kidd," a novel com-edv drama with Evelyn Greeley and star enst; "Pay Your Dues," a Harold Lloyd comedy, and a scenic reel completes the program. It is the purpose of the Star management to offer clean pictures, comedies, dramas and novelties that have established a reputation for their entertaining features, in a compilation that -will- prove interesting, to every member of the family and at a price attractive to everyone.
